Ditto collects only what's necessary to make the app work. Your answers and moments are yours. We don't sell your data. We use AI only to generate monthly recaps, not to train models on your content.
Phone number — Used for sign-in via SMS code and daily nudge messages. We don't use passwords or email.
Name & timezone — So your partner knows who you are and we can time things correctly.
Your answers & notes — Daily prompt responses and optional thought bubbles you attach to them.
Basic analytics — Page views and general usage patterns (via Vercel). Error logs to fix bugs.
To store and display your daily moments and your partner's answers. To send you one SMS nudge per day (if you haven't answered yet). To generate monthly recaps using AI.
AI Processing: Once a month, your prompt answers (not notes) are sent to Anthropic's Claude API to generate a recap summary. Your content is not used to train AI models. Anthropic's API does not retain inputs.
We don't sell your data to third parties. We don't use your content for advertising. We don't share your answers with anyone except your connected partner. We don't train AI models on your content.
Ditto sends up to one text message per day as a reminder. You can change your reminder preferences in Settings or reply STOP to any message to opt out. Message and data rates may apply. We never reveal prompt content or your partner's answers via SMS.
Your data is stored in Supabase (hosted on AWS). All data is protected by row-level security — you can only access data from your own connections. Your partner can see your answers and notes within your shared connection, as that's how Ditto works.
Your data is kept as long as your account exists. If you end a connection, your shared history is retained in the database but no new prompts are sent. If you want your data fully deleted, contact us.

Ditto is not intended for children under 13. We don't knowingly collect data from children under 13.
If we make significant changes, we'll notify you in the app. Continued use after changes means you accept the updated policy.
