Ditto is a daily shared prompt app for two people. Use it kindly. Your answers are yours. Don't abuse the service. We'll do our best to keep it running, but we can't guarantee perfection.
Ditto is a web application that gives two connected people one shared prompt each day. You each answer independently, and the next day you see what the other person said. It's designed to maintain closeness without requiring constant communication.
Not a messaging app. Not a social network. Not a replacement for real human connection — it's a small supplement to it. Not a backup service — we store your data but don't guarantee against loss.
You need a phone number to create an account. You're responsible for your account activity. One account per phone number. You must be at least 13 years old to use Ditto.
You own it. Everything you write in Ditto — answers, notes, thoughts — belongs to you. We don't claim ownership of your content.
Your partner sees it. By design, your answers and notes are shared with your connected partner the following day. That's the whole point.
Be decent. Don't use Ditto to harass, threaten, or send harmful content to your partner. Don't attempt to hack, overload, or disrupt the service.
By creating an account, you agree to receive SMS messages from Ditto including verification codes for sign-in, one daily reminder (nudge) if you haven't answered yet, and notifications when your partner joins. You can adjust reminder preferences in Settings or reply STOP to opt out of nudges. Message and data rates may apply. Message frequency varies but will not exceed one nudge per day.
Ditto uses AI (Anthropic's Claude) to generate monthly recap summaries of your shared moments. These recaps are observational and playful — they're meant to feel like inside jokes, not therapy notes.
AI recaps may be inaccurate, incomplete, or occasionally miss the mark. They're generated for fun, not as a record of truth.
Either person can end a connection at any time through Settings. When a connection ends, no notification is sent to the other person — they'll simply see the connection is gone. History is retained in the database but no new prompts are sent. You can start a new connection with someone else afterward.
We provide access to Ditto and do our best to keep it running reliably.
We don't guarantee 100% uptime, that prompts will always be perfectly timed, that AI recaps will be accurate or funny, or that your data will never be lost.
We may update features, add or remove functionality, or discontinue the service with reasonable notice.
You can sign out anytime. You can end connections through Settings. If you want your account and data fully deleted, email us. We don't keep backups of deleted accounts.
To the maximum extent allowed by law, Ditto is provided “as is” without warranties. We're not liable for any damages from using or inability to use the service, lost data, or any indirect damages. Our total liability is limited to the amount you've paid us (currently $0).
These terms are governed by the laws of the United States. Disputes will be handled in courts located in California. These terms plus the Privacy Policy are the complete agreement between you and Ditto. If any part is found unenforceable, the rest still applies.
